Welcome to Nashville!
One of the great things about traveling to work with Creative Soul is coming to work in an area where the Christian Music Industry lives and breathes.
There’s lots to do in Nashville while you’re visiting. For complete information about what’s going on your next visit, check out http://www.visitmusiccity.com.
We suggest checking out the Broadway area if you like Country Music, as you’ll find music everywhere, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Also check out popular downtown restaurants like BB Kings, The Spaghetti Factory, and the Hard Rock Cafe.
Franklin is a unique blend of history and progress. Since it’s beginning in 1799, it has grown from a tiny, agricultural community into a strong blend of residential, commercial and corporate citizens. There is much to see and do in Franklin, from a Civil War battlefield, to a host of museums and antebellum mansions, to our thriving downtown shopping area and the Cool Springs Galleria. Just a few miles from town is the Natchez Trace Parkway, and if you like antiques, Franklin has some of the best shops in Tennessee.
Downtown Franklin, comprised of a beautiful 15 block historic district, offers true Southern hospitality with a great American Main Street and 200 years of rich history. Visitors will find commemorative brick sidewalks, beautiful landscaping, lovely Victorian architecture, and stunning renovated historic buildings – all located in the heart of Franklin. Downtown Franklin offers elegant shopping, restaurants, antique shops, a variety of clothing stores, art galleries, professional services, and more.
Where to Stay
When you are visiting and working with Creative Soul, we recommend you stay near I-65 in the heart of the shopping area called Cool Springs. The area stretches across four exits off I-65, and offers many hotels and restaurants, as well as a good deal of shopping. You’ll find a Target, Walmart, 20-Screen movie theater, and even restaurant chain you can think of (and some you can’t!) Cool Springs Galleria has over 165 specialty stores, 5 national department stores, and over 20 eateries at the 500-seat Oasis Food Court. For a complete listing of the store directory and for more mall information, please visit http://www.coolspringsgalleria.com.
Note: Even if we are working on Music Row, or near Nashville at a studio, we still suggest visitors stay in the Brentwood or Franklin areas. It’s safer, cheaper, and there is much more to eat, shop, and do.
The Nashville International Airport (BNA) is what you will use if you are flying in to work with us. For more information about this airport, please visit http://www.flynashville.com
(Important Transportation Note: Because of the distance from the airport, Brentwood or Franklin Hotels generally do not offer airport shuttle service. If you are flying into the Nashville airport, you will need a rental car to drive from and to the airport, as well as to the studio on days we are working together. If you want to get a cab from the airport, some hotels including Hilton offer free local transportation.)
Our clients have stayed in these hotels and we know them to be competitively priced as well as comfortable and clean.
Please check out the website links for each hotel for reservations, pictures, and full information.
Courtyard by Marriott, Franklin, TN
A very nice, new hotel, tucked away from the traffic with many nice eateries within walking distance.
Hilton Garden Inn, Brentwood, TN
Always a clean, nice hotel chain and favorite of Creative Soul. This hotel is brand new, is extremely close to I-65, as well as tons of restaurants, shopping, and a big mall.
Hyatt Place, Franklin, TN
Another nice hotel close to everything (literally across the street from the mall). Most rooms are suites.
Hilton Suites, Brentwood
This is an absolutely gorgeous place. All suites, and a wonderful atrium. Close to all the studios we work at in Franklin, Brentwood, or Nashville. We highly suggest this hotel.
Candlewood Suites, Brentwood, TN
Always a nice clean room in a safe area with plenty of restaurants. Right at the interchange of I-65 and Old Hickory Road for easy access to head towards a studio!
These are just a few options that we know clients have preferred or we have personally stayed in, but there are many options and you may have your own hotel chain you prefer. When looking for a room simply look in the Brentwood or Franklin TN areas.
HINT: If you use Priceline.com, you will find even better deals by entering 3-Star Suite in Brentwood or Cool Springs, TN and putting in $50-100 per night. The secret is, there is no bad suites hotel in Brentwoord or Cool Springs, so a 3-star equals a relatively new hotel with lots of safety and shopping.
Closer to Nashville/Music Row
Hilton Garden Inn, Vanderbilt
We love this chain personally. Always a good stay and in line with other downtown Nashville hotels. Complimentary local transportation for those flying in who don’t want to rent a car. But you’ll need a cab to and from the airport as there is no free shuttle from the airport here either.
Home 2 Suites, by Hilton
Another nice new hotel near Music Row. Also has free local transportation (to bring you to Word for instance! 😉
Hampton Inn, Vanderbilt
Close to Music Row, and also lots of restaurants, including The Row, our favorite, right across the street.
NEW! Come Meet With Us in Orlando!
We also have digs in sunny Florida! Are you taking vacation time with or without family to meet with us? We have studios just outside Orlando, Florida that we can meet and work in and would be able to accommodate you there as well. Come meet with us about your music and ministry then vacation at the many amazing amusement parks and creative places that Central Florida provides.
There are many great places to stay but we suggest somewhere near one of the parks for great rates and close attractions when you’re not making music.
You can’t beat the magic and creativity of Disney. Stay at any of their hotels and get FREE “Disney’s Magical Express” to your hotel from the airport. It will be the best service you will find in Orlando, and if you do decide to visit a Disney property you’ll have free transportation there as well. Here’s a few of our favorites:
Disney’s All-Star Music
A value hotel and on par with most chains per night. Amazing music motif everywhere!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
A little more, but just beautiful resort that caters to business travelers. This is where we will have future meetings!!
Hilton Garden Inn
We have stayed at this new hotel quite a bit in our vacations and travel. Great Hilton quality, but amazing budget price!
We hope you enjoy your trip and that this information makes it easy and fun to stay and work with Creative Soul!
